A reclusive, serious photographer who practices photography as an art form to the core and refuses
Nirmala's images are a serious visionary display of what lingers in the mind after a moving, exhilarating
Life Experience when words cease to exist
They are some sedate incarnations of life's intricate theories
Expressed so simply, so easily, so purely
Without any preposterousness, so subtly and so surreally.
A glance at the imagery and sensitive creativity of Neermala Savadekar
Is convincing enough to assert her easy visualisation of this difficult art.
I think that this cascade represents the outcome
Of her conscious dedication to this absorbing art-form.
These images can only be describes as a very artistic, visual trail of
Dancing rhythms , harmonies and spontaneous notes
Emanating from the circle of time.
After so long, I have seen such subtle expression of alternating shapes of
Darkness and the bright streaks of light illuminating the senses
Through the presentation entitled 'Luminous'
Her second series 'Polka Dots' too demonstrates her bearing
Towards a playful, urban display of style and fashion.
Polka Dots shows numerous nuances of the basic concept,
They are so deeply related to diverse notions in our culture,
Our dance forms, our poetic instincts and
Our whole world of imagination.
These impressions created with due respect to earlier stalwarts
And to all these notions, are just free and fresh realisations by Neermala.
All these unique forms dwelling beyond the realm of words
Are born through a technique lost long ago in the sands of time.
And they render an amazing radiance like classic regal attire
To each image in this enthralling sequence.
Connoisseurs of art will no doubt discover new possibilities, new expressions
New sounds and new modulations in Neermala's impressive endeavour.
Am sure this string of images will seriously contribute to
Prominently expose the invisible and obscure gaps
In this very abstract manifestation of art.
This gallery should certainly provide an enriching experience
To all lovers and viewers of neo photo art.

Sujit Patwardhan:
Nirmala's special gift is her eye for the graphic quality in the Photograph.
This is something that cannot be taught..
The Photographer has to develop it on his/her own and it is more to do with "seeing " than "doing ".
One can learn all the skills and techniques of handling the camera through practice but the capacity to see graphic quality in a scene or subject comes only through sensitivity and emotional inputs that lie beyond technical skills of using the instrument.
This is why to do Fine art Photography the artist has to develop a perception, the understanding of form of a Sculptor and the ease of language and vocabulary of writer.
These qualities are not unique .One sees them in the work of sensitive Photographers like Ashwin Mehta, Raghu Rai, Ansel Adams ,or Cartier Bresson but rarely in someone as young as Nirmala Savadekar
Santosh Padhi:
Being a woman , Nirmala has taken care of her images like a mother takes care of her babies. And since she takes so much pain to create them and give them a character, her pictures don't say a thousand words ,they say much more .After all, most all creative people do different things , but incase of Nirmala She does things differently .
